This speech must be watched

If you’ve not watched these twenty-some minutes from the President, I strongly urge you to watch it.

It is not just the catharsis in seeing serious, competent attention to serious problems. It is deeper than that. The first minutes were, for me at least, the first time I’ve seen a clear effort to put the extraordinary loss of this last year in perspective. Politicians don’t make me weep, in a good way, often. But the power and the earnestness of this leader is extraordinary.

There is so much hope here. It is a strange feeling. It should be embraced.
